Team leaders are committed Christians who form part of the
leadership of the organisation. They are appointed by the
Core Team and throughout the year team leaders meet with
the Core leadership team to discuss and plan the projects.
What about training?
If you apply to join a Highway Projects mission you will asked
to attend a Team training day, held at a central location
about six weeks before the mission is due. On arrival in the
Middle East, the first few days are set aside for team building
and cultural orientation.
Is it safe to travel to the Middle East?
Highway Projects is aware of the concerns of travelling into a politically troubled area. However, we have extensive experience of the region and regular contact with our partners in the area. As a matter of course we inform the British Consulate of all our visits into the region and take Foreign Office advice.
As a volunteer what does it cost?
Trips cost in the region of £900, and includes all flights, accommodation, transport, most meals, induction and training. This needs to be covered by the volunteer, but Highways Projects can assist with ideas and support with fundraising, and offers a Fundraising ideas A-Z as part of the application process.
My members area is not showing anything- what do I do?
This is probably because you still need to follow step 2 of the membership joining process. Go to the members home page, and click on the 'Step 2' box to join this site. If this still hasn't worked, email students@highway-projects.org and we will look into it for you.
If you have any further questions, please click on 'Contact Us' above, and we will endeavour to answer them for you.
